Sunflower Oil

Sunflower oil has a host of benefits such as lowering cholestrol, improving the cardiovascular system, as a skin emollient (Oleic) and no trans fat alternative for other cooking oils.

There are 3 primary types of sunflower oils. Linoleic oil is the type that is most commonly found in your local grocery store. It has a high content of essential fatty acids and is rich in vitamin E. High Oleic oil contains high levels of monounsaturated acids. Finally, NuSun was originally designed to reduce the amount of saturated fat in sunflower oil.

Sunflower Oil Improves the Cardiovascular System

Sunflower oil develops a healthy cardiovascular system. It contains ample amounts of vitamin E and high levels of the essential fatty acids (or, polyunsaturated fats) which our body needs. These essential fatty acids cannot be produced from within our bodies. They must be derived from our diet. The reason we need these polyunsaturated fats is because they tend to lower our cholesterol levels. By reducing our cholesterol, we lessen the likelihood of developing heart disease.

Additionally, many food manufacturers have begun replacing ingredients that are high in trans fat with sunflower oil.
