3 Day Fruit Fast


We will embark upon a three day fruit fast this week. The fast has innumerable benefits such as: flushing out the system, regulating bowel movements, cleansing the blood and organs, stabilizing blood sugar levels, relieving the body of its daily tasks of digesting more complex foods and hydrating the body to name a few benefits.

The fruit fast is quite simple actually. EAT FRUIT. Eat bananas sparingly as they have a high sugar, carbohydrate and fiber content that make them more difficult to digest, than citrus fruit. Apples are a great source of roughage fiber, but during a fruit fast may cause gas. To alleviate discomfort drink water while eating the apple to help neutralize the stomach acids. Coconut fruit is also excellent because the body enjoys the di-linked fat compounds that it contains. The body will digest the coconut fruit and fats without storing them at all.

*If you sneak in a bit of lettuce and tomato for a scrumptious fruit salad, I won't tell.

*Continue to drink plenty of Oolong tea, green tea, water and apple cider vinegar on this fast.

*You will not be hungry as long as you drink plenty of fluids.
